This fast flowing creek was rushing toward the Snake River as it flowed under Grassy Lake Road.

We passed numerous meadows full of blooming mule ears. This was an extremely wet winter and the flowers are responding the to the extra moisture.

We were inspecting one of the free campgrounds on Grassy Lake Road when this scout rig passed. As you can see Grassy Lake Road is a wide one lane road.

We spotted these white pelicans basking in the sun on a sandbar in the Snake River a few miles west of Flagg Ranch in John D. Rockefeller Jr. Memorial Parkway. Joyce took this picture from a free campsite between Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park along Grassy Lake Road.

Each of the free campsites we inspected along Grassy Lake Road had one of these nice pit toilets. These pit toilets were the only thing provided other than a gravel site.

This is a good view of one of the free campsites along Grassy Lake Road. That is the northern end of the Teton Range you see in the distance with the Snake River flowing past the campsite. This campsite is less than two miles west of Flagg Ranch on Grassy Lake Road.
