Grassy Lake RoadView from top of Grassy Lake Dam looking down at the outflow
Grassy Lake Dam located west of Flagg Ranch and between Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park was constructed as part of an irrigation project for Idaho. The reservoir does not produce electricity. Its function is water storage. We drove down to the parking log you see in this picture and found a lot of obsidian in the gravel used to pave the parking lot.
