The drive along Granite Creek Road provided meadow after meadow of beautiful wildflowers.

Beautiful meadow in Gros Ventre Wilderness along Granite Creek Road. The field was thick with Mule Ears with a sprinkle of Sticky Geranium throughout the area.

The yellow wildflowers are Mule Ears.

The pink flowers are Sticky Geranium.

Both of these flowers are a food source for deer and elk in the Gros Ventre Wilderness.

Our drive along Granite Creek Road took several hours since we stopped to photograph so many of the beautiful meadows of Mule Ears. We didn't t see any wildlife feeding in the meadows, but it was early afternoon and not the typical time to see deer or elk feeding. .
