Friends Richard and Brenda Roselli were visiting us in Key West when we stopped by the Southernmost Point for this photo op. Friends it is January and you can see how we are dressed. Key West is a fabulous place to spend the winter. It is even better with friends.
Rooster under the Kapok Tree at the Monroe County Courthouse on Whitehead Street
This is one of the feral chickens, make that rooster that reside on the grounds of the Monroe County Courthouse on Whitehead Street in Key West, Florida. Joyce did a good job on this picture. The feral chickens that roam Key West are descendants of fighting chickens brought here by early Cuban migrants. When Cock Fights became illegal the chickens were turned loose. Key West actually protects these feral chickens. It is amazing how many of them you see around Key West. Entrance to Naval Air Station Truman Annex on south Whitehead Street
You will not see this entrance to Truman Annex while walking down Whitehead Street, but you do have to travel on Whitehead Street to get to this entrance to Truman Annex.
The Green Parrot Bar is one popular bars in Key West
The Green Parrot Bar located on Whitehead Street south of the Monroe County Courthouse is one of the most popular bars in Key West.

This is Joyce with the MILE 0 sign on US-1. This sign is located one block north of the Green Parrot Bar and across the street from the Monroe County Courthouse and the magnificent Kapok Trees in front of the Courthouse.
