Buffalo Valley is both lush and beautiful.

Along here, where the Buffalo Fork River winds its way through the community of Buffalo Valley there are many guest ranches. Buffalo Valley is a good place to use as a base for hunting or fishing trips.

The Buffalo River is the highest drainage in the Jackson Hole area and drains much of the area around Togwotee Pass (the pass between Dubois & Moran). No matter the depth of the snowpack the area has, the Buffalo Fork River will be the last to clear. Although there is a fair amount of private land bordering the Buffalo Fork, there is some really great fishing for the angler who wishes to go for a good hike.
