Buffalo River flowing through the BLM campground at Turpin Meadow Guest Ranch. The Buffalo River is the highest drainage in the Jackson Hole area and drains much of the area around Togwotee Pass (the pass between Dubois & Moran). No matter the depth of the snowpack the area has, the Buffalo Fork River will be the last to clear. Although there is a fair amount of private land bordering the Buffalo Fork, there is some really great fishing for the angler who wishes to go for a good hike.
