Moran JunctionMoran Junction, Wyoming in Grand Teton National Park
This is the sign you see in Moran Junction when heading south out of Yellowstone National Park. When you get to Moran Junction it is decision time. Are you going to turn left on US-26 and head over Togwotee Pass in the Absaroka Mountains or are you headed south through Grand Teton National Park to Jackson, Wyoming? Entrance gates to Grand Teton National Park at Moran Junction
We took this picture while headed south through the gates. They only collect payment on vehicles traveling north and they have 3-lanes collecting entrance fees most of the time. The entrance gate to Grand Teton National Park is located in Moran Junction. There is little else in Moran Junction than this entrance gate a post office and a small school plus a few National Park maintenance buildings and a handful of residences for National Park Employees.

Dubois is 56-miles to the east across Togwotee Pass and the Continental Divide in the Absaroka Mountain Range on US-26.
The Moran Junction Post Office is possibly the most important building in Moran Junction
Moran Junction has a small school
This is the small Moran Junction School. I suspect this is just grade school with older children being bussed to school in Jackson, Wyoming about 35-miles south.
Moran Junction Post Office
The Moran Junction Post Office is an important link to the outside world in this area.
This is the residential area and National Park Maintenance Buildings in Moran Junction
When you add the school and post office you have Moran Junction. Well, I guess you have the entrance gate to Grand Teton National Park and the highway junctions itself. VBG
Residences in Moran Junction for National Park Rangers
There are 5 to 10 residences for National Park Employees in Moran Junction, we did not see any other residences. This is National Park Property so that would make sense.
