Sunsets from St Andrews State Park

We are camping at St Andrews State Park on Panama City Beach. We always enjoying staying at the campground in St Andrews State Park where we love taking walks along Grand Lagoon and the Gulf of Mexico. Here is a link to some of our information about the campground at St Andrews State Park. When we can not find a state park to stay in like St Andrews we look for 1/2 price PPA Campgrounds.

If only the sea oats would have had full heads of grain. Deer and birds have combined to strip these.
When we come back to St Andrews State Park in the Fall the sea oats will have full heads of grain.

Spectacular sun sets only come along now and then. The night we arrived was one of those nights.

For those of you familiar with Gator Lake in St Andrews State Park this picture was taken from the parking lot looking to the southwest. This lake will dry up in the dry season but week before last this area got over 10" of rain.

In the summer this beach will have hundreds of people on it. In fact in just a week or so thousands of spring breakers from across the country will be jamming this beach. Tonight only a few snow birds are enjoying this beautiful sunset with us in St Andrews State Park.

Birds and animals -- mostly deer --- have eaten all the seed heads off these sea oats. This would have been a beautiful picture if the sea oats had full heads of grain. But at this time of year there are not any seed heads on the sea oats at St Andrews State Park.
