In 1925, the awesome Gros
Ventre landslide dammed the Gros
Ventre River forming Lower
Slide Lake.
Lower
Slide Lake is located about 5-miles upstream from the Gros
Ventre Campground in Grand
Teton National Park.
Keep in mind that Lower
Slide Lake was created by the huge Gros
Ventre Slide.
Bridger-Teton Wilderness east of Jackson,
Wyoming
We are in the Bridger-Teton Wilderness as we make our way up the
Gros Ventre
Road east of Jackson
Hole, Wyoming.
Looking down on the Gros
Ventre River from the Gros
Ventre Road possibly 8-miles east of Grand
Teton National Park.
This is a good look at Gros
Ventre Road as we climb higher into the Gros
Ventre Range east of Jackson
Hole, Wyoming.
Fishermen say the Gros
Ventre has world-class trout fishing.
