Tarpon cruising Key West Bight Marina along Harbor Walk

While there is nothing in this picture to help you judge size let me try to help. This tarpon weighed over 100-pounds and was one of the smaller tarpon cruising the marina in Key West. There were a lot of 150-pounders and several in the 200-pound class. The scales on this tarpon's back are the size of silver dollars.

The piling in this picture helps give perspective to the size of this tarpon. My guess it a little over 100-pounds but less than 120.

He looks to be between 5' to 6' long and fairly thick.

We saw him when walking along Harbor Walk which meanders around the Historic old Seaport Harbor in Key West.

This tarpon is around 6' in length and will weigh upwards of 150-pounds.
