Mt Moran silhouetted on Jackson Lake one evening in mid-June of 2011.

Joyce took this picture looking across Jackson Lake at the Teton Range glowing in the evening sun.

Viewing the Teton Range in evening light is so peaceful. It seems that everyone in Grand Teton National Park comes out at this time of day to be a part of this spectacular scenery. Of course Jackson Lake adds to the serenity of this picture.

Mt Moran stands out in the Teton Range from viewing places like Signal Mountain Lodge and Marina. Signal Mountain Campground is also a popular campground in Grand Teton National Park.

All of those places are located on the shore of Jackson Lake in Grand Teton National Park.

Joyce took this picture from the Willow Flats Overlook located about one-mile south of Jackson Lake Lodge and about 6-miles south of Colter Bay Village and Colter Bay Campground. It is a favorite place to view Willow Flats when trying to spot moose, elk and grizzly bear.

When we are staying in Colter Bay Campground we stop by Willow Flats Overlook several times each day. The scenery changes at different times during the day plus animals magically appear in Willow Flats. They just as magically disappear as well.

This picture is what Grand Teton National Park is all about. From this one overlook you can see the magnificent Teton Range on the far side of Jackson Lake with Grand Teton Peak on the left and Mt Moran on the right with Willow Flats stretching to Jackson Lake.

Mt Moran and indeed a great portion of the Teton Range can be viewed from the Episcopal Chapel of the Transfiguration on t he shores of Jackson Lake near Signal Mountain and the Jackson Lake Dam.

The Chapel of the Transfiguration is a good stop anytime you are visiting Grand Teton National Park. The views across Jackson Lake of the Teton Range make the stop mandatory.
