I am always fascinated with the architecture and engineering present in grand old buildings like Jackson Lake Lodge. The architects used some huge timber and formed it into a truss system. This is the view of the Teton Range from the picture windows in the upper lobby area of Jackson Lake Lodge. Willow Flats and Jackson Lake are also spread out in all their glory as well. Grand Teton is the tall peak on the left side of this picture while Mt Moran is the large peak to the right of center.

The Pioneer Grill is a busy dining facility accessible from the upper lobby in Jackson Lake Lodge
We always dine in the Pioneer Grill when we are visiting Grand Teton National Park. Seating is at a counter but the food is good and cheaper than other alternatives. While in the Pioneer Grill we love to look at the display of old pictures and read the captions. Even if you do not eat in the Pioneer Grill walk inside and look at the old pictures.
