If you are visiting Key West and arriving in Old Town via the Key West Express then you will find The Red Doors as you stroll down Caroline Street towards Duval Street. Stop by and take a picture. The Red Doors is one of the Key West waterfronts most picturesque landmarks. Constructed in early 1868 it has been home to a ships chanlery, a grocery and hardware store, and was noted as one of the toughest bars on the Gulf Coast during the shrimping industry in Key for about for about twenty years. Currently it is home to an upscale dress shop and art gallery. B.O.'s Fish Wagon is located across the street to the left in this picture. This beautiful travelers palm is on the corner of Caroline Street right next to The Red Doors. There are many travelers palms in Old Town Key West, but I think this is one really one of the prettiest.

Here you see the front entrance to The Red Doors in Old Town Key West. Very inviting! Just makes you want to walk right in this old historical building and explore its current resident. So if you are making you way to Duval Street you will want to make this a stop.
