Flamingo Campground Marina & Visitor Center Everglades National ParkWe dropped the motorhome off in a Home Depot parking lot in Florida City then headed to Flamingo 48-miles away deep in the Florida Everglades. There were stops along the way at Robert is Here Fruit Stand and at Earnest Coe Visitor Center which is located at the southeastern entrance to Everglades National Park. Deep in Everglades National Park along the southern boundary there is a lot of open Savannah. Everglades Savannah near Flamingo in Everglades National Park, Florida

Sunset pictures from the Campground at Flamingo deep in the Florida Everglades south Florida
With this picture the sun was gone --- leaving nothing but a beautiful sky. Campers in the campground at Flamingo in Everglades National Park have this to look forward to each evening. Flamingo is 38-miles from the Everglades National Park entrance but it is worth the drive. Everglades National Park campground at Flamingo is large. I do not think that the campground at Flamingo has any electricity and it may not have any water. It is dry camping at its best. Flamingo also features a large marina and boat ramp. While there is a "SMALL" marina/campground store is has limited inventory therefore, you need to bring everything you need. The nearest stores are 48-miles away in Florida City. You may be able to get some things in the store but the selection is going to be severely limited and I suspect expensive. For you RV'ers Flamingo National Park Campground in the Everglades might be your winter "heaven", especially if you like fishing. After the sun went down in this picture we had that 48-mile drive, in the dark, back to the motorhome, through the Everglades.
