CMA Music Festival Parade part 1
May 29 to June 3, 2008.
We are staying in Two Rivers
Campground near Opry Land in northeast Nashville over the
Memorial Day weekend. Two Rivers is the private campground we recommend
for anyone visiting Nashville. We like it because it is $21 cheaper
than the next best campground. When staying at Two
Rivers Campground we pay $31 for water & 30-amps. Full-hookup
and 50-amps are a bit more. But, and it is a big BUT the Yogi Bear
Campground next door starts at $51 and goes up while the KOA a block
away starts somewhere above that and the sky is the limit. In Nashville
you are paying for LOCATION and Two Rivers Campground has LOCATION.
Besides that they
sponsor good entertainment in the park several times a week.
When I say "GOOD" entertainment I mean FREE afternoon shows
from the likes of Hot
Damn out of South Florida, Paul
Hill who operates out of Nashville and the incomprehendable
Mel
McDaniel who still resides in Nashville.
We normally look for 1/2 price
PPA Campgrounds COE Campgrounds or National Park Campgrounds.
But in Nashville, over the Memorial Day weekend Two Rivers Campground
is our choice.
June 4, 2008
Wednesday afternoon June 4, was the big "registration"
day for CMA
Music Fest along with an opening parade which showcased
some of the stars that arrived in town early for the party that
begins tomorrow.

Kyle Wyley riding in style in the CMA
Music Festival Parade.
Jeff Cook from the group Alabama, riding by himself in the CMA
Music Festival Parade.
Phil Stacey an American Idol performer and current Country Music
artist waving to fans in the crowd during the CMA
Music Festival Parade.
Mountain Heart & Tennessee Titan Cheer Leaders in the CMA
Music Festival Parade
I thought I would include this picture since the banner carriers
for the group Mountain Heart caused more of a stir than Mountain
Heart did. By the way those are Tennessee Titan Cheer Leaders.
We headed home early tonight, as in 8pm in the hopes of getting
enough rest tonight so that we can make it through the entire day/night
tomorrow.
Performers will begin their concerts in the morning at 10am and
continue on multiple stages until midnight tomorrow night. At any
one time there are probably in excess of 5-Country Stars performing
on various stages. You have to pick and choose which ones you want
to hear and move to that venue. They are all good, you just have
to decide which one you really want to see.
There is nothing like spending time with my best friend -- it sure
makes life worth living. I feel like the luckiest guy in the world.
One day we went for an afternoon cruise on the General
Jackson Showboat that boards jusd down the road from where
we are staying at Two Rivers Campground. Check these links to read
about our adventure on the General
Jackson Showboat: Peking

Until next time remember how good life is.
