La Veta, Colorado RV-Parks

Let me state up front that we just passed through La Veta and were just keeping our eyes open for RV-parks. RV'ers tend to do that when they are passing through an area they plan to return to. With that said we were in our Saturn tow car thus were free to drive around and view the campgrounds that we saw. That is all this is -- a few pictures and words about the campgrounds we saw. We have no agenda whatsoever.

Entrance to Circle The Wagons RV-Park in La Veta, Colorado

This view of Circle the Wagons RV-Park is a good representation of the campground. Nice green grass, well manicured, everything looked tidy. Interior roads were gravel but well maintained and spotless. In this area gravel roads are what you should expect. It appeared to us that a good number of "high end" motorhomes and 5th Wheels were spending the summer in this park. Don't know that for a fact but it appeared that way.

As you can see the sites were spacious and the gravel road was extremely wide, especially for an RV-Park.

This is a picture of Circle the Wagons RV-Park taken from the back end of the park looking up toward the club house. Note the absence of RV's on the left side which is in the sun. It appears that those staying in the park are opting to stay in sites with shade.

Actually, the name of this campground may be "I Love Lucy's Place RV-Park". I am not certain. It is a owned business with 27 shaded space may need to do some Googling or call 719-742-3252. They are a small family owned business with 27 full hook-up shaded spaces. They say they are pet friendly and have WiFi. Rates in 2014 were $28 nightly, $182 weekly, $435 Monthly.

One note I might add, the housing area to the left of this picture was, a bit seedy.
