Gros Ventre CampgroundGros Ventre Campground in Grand Teton National Park
Typical view in the generator area Gros Ventre Campground where generators can be run from 8am to 8pm. This is the area generally occupied by larger self contained RV's. It is also the area we stay in.

Group camping area in Gros Ventre Campground
There always seems to be a lot of tents in the group camping sites and today is no exception. That is the Teton Mountain Range you see in the background. When those tenters got up this morning it was a crisp 40-degrees. I was glad the heater worked in our motorhome.
Typical restroom facility in Gros Ventre Campground
The restrooms at Gros Ventre Campground only contain toilets....not showers. There are NO provisions for showers in the Gros Ventre Campground. Of course that does not affect us in any way since we are in our motorhome with a nice shower. I am not sure what the tenters do. I know that the Gros Ventre River runs right by the campground but that water is snowmelt and literally as cold as ice. I do not think that is an option. We see motorcycles roll in here and the riders spend the night in a sleeping bag then get up the next morning and go on their way but some tent residents appear to spend the summer or at least weeks at a time.
Typical view in the non-generator section of Gros Ventre Campground
Joyce took this picture to show that there is plenty of space between campsites in Gros Ventre Campground.
Campsites are large enough for the larger RV's in the generator section of Gros Ventre Campground
Joyce took this picture to show that there were plenty of sited available in the generator area for larger RV's such as this 5th wheel. Generator hours are 8am to 8pm.
