We parked in that lower parking area when we attended the Willie Nelson Throwdown show. The walk from that lower parking lot to the amphitheater was a killer. What we found out is that there is a dearth of oxygen at 6,000'.

It was the Willie Nelson Throwdown but we were there to see our friend Craig Campbell perform.

We took this picture of one of the lower parking areas on the south side of Red Rocks Amphitheater Of course this picture was taken on a week day when a concert was not on schedule. This lot is FULL when there is a concert. And I might add that it is one HELL of a walk from this parking lot to your seat in Red Rocks Amphitheater Red Rocks is over 6,000' in elevation and the oxygen is nonresistant. Plus you are walking up a steep incline all the way to your seat in the amphitheater
