By now we are up high enough that snow is all around us.
Large moose along the Poudre River Scenic Drive deep in the Comanche Peak Wilderness: Colorado
We spotted four moose in all. This was the largest of the four. Continental Divide on the Poudre Canyon Scenic Drive in Comanche Peak Wilderness: Colorado
We drove through freezing rain for about 10-minutes when we were crossing the divide some 20-miles east of Waldon.
Cache la Poudre River begins in the Comanche Peak Wilderness at the Continental Divide: Colorado
Here the Cache la Poudre River is little more than a trickle and you can bet the water is cold. We are deep in the Comanche Peak Wilderness near the Continental Divide in northcentral Colorado. Cache la Poudre River at a lower elevation west of Ft Collins, Colorado
As we drop in elevation the river gathers more snow melt and becomes larger and larger. The Cache la Poudre River and Scenic highway 14 is a good drive out of Ft. Collins, Colorado. Put Scenic SR-14 along the Cache La Poudre River on your list of things to do when visiting Colorado.
