Jamey Johnson at Tootsies in Pier Park on Panama City Beach
December, 26th thru January 2nd. We left Pensacola in our motorhome the day after Christmas and headed 100-miles east to Panama City Florida. St Andrews State Park was FULL so we parked the motorhome in my Mom's driveway in Panama City. She was out of town spending the holidays with my sister in Calera, Alabama. The reason we are in Panama City was to watch our friend Clay Underwood perform at Tootsies on Panama City Beach. Clay is an up and coming Country Music performer that should make it to the big time, at least we hope so. We spent each evening hanging out with friends at Tootsies in Pier Park where Clay was performing. Clay was the reason we were in Panama City but we also love the other performers. Billy Pearson is another of our favorites at Tootisies in Pier Park. One night we got a very special surprise. A Country Music Star was vacationing on Panama City Beach in his condo and stopped by to have a good time and sing with band. This star turned out to be Jamey Johnson the song writer extraordinaire. In 2007 he wrote the CMA Song of the year for the George Strait hit "Give it Away" in addition to writing Trace Adkins hit "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk". He currently has a hit in the top 5 that he sings himself --- "In Color" : http://www.cmt.com/videos/jamey-johnson/232971/in-color.jhtmlthat Tootsies on Panama City Beach is so incredible. It is just overloaded with talented performers.

Billy Pearson & Beth
This is Billy Pearson and *Beth* the bar tender. Billy is a regular performer at Tootsies in Pier Park who has several hits to his credit. One is climbing the charts as we speak.
Beth is one of the bartenders at Tootsies in Pier Park that has a voice as good as any of the Nashville stars. When we get lucky Beth comes on stage and performs. Sometimes with Billy and sometimes by herself. Either way it is a home run.
Jamey Johnson at Tootsie's Pier Park Panama City Beach
Like I said earlier Tootsies in Pier Park on Panama City Beach oozes with talent.
On the stage now is from left to Right (Clay Underwood, Mark on the base guitar who has played with Jo Dee Mecina, then Jamey Johnson, hard to see is Shaun Apple on the drums who last played with Doug Stone and finally Jamey Johnson's lead guitar player. It is hard to fill a stage with more talent than that.

This is Jamey Johnson and his lead guitar player performing at Tootsies in Pier Park on Panama City Beach. Note how his lead guitar player plays his guitar backwards. He may do it backwards but he tears the thing up.
I think they were performing his CMA song of the year made popular by George Strait "Give it Away".

Joyce and Jamey Johnson at Tootsies Pier Park
Joyce is totally into the moment.
Jamey Johnson performed two sets during the night one during Clay's perfromance and another during Billy's performance at Tootsies on Panama City Beach.
Wow, what more could an audience ask for? Billy Pearson, Beth, Clay Underwood, Jamie Johnson and his lead guitar player all in one night.
Folks if you want to have a guaranteed good time you need to visit Tootsies in Pier Park on Panama City Beach. One day we hope to see our friends make it big. All of them have the talent. Now they need a break.
That is all there is.
