Joyce took this picture looking north along the foothills of the Big Horn Mountains. Crazy Woman Road trends east and west. We were headed east and had just emerged from Crazy Woman Canyon and to our surprise we were here looking at an expanse of prairie as far as the eye could see to our east.

We had just emerged from Crazy Woman Canyon which is a slow drive along Crazy Woman Creek in a deep Canyon with vertical cliff walls on either side. Leaving that awesome canyon and emerging into this was mind boggling. We stopped the car and got out for pictures. If you are like me you are wondering why everything is called "Crazy Woman". I did some research and have written about that name in a travel log about Buffalo, Wyoming.
