We are not big into doing travel logs of RV-Parks but I was kind of pushed into doing this one. I am going to share a short story with you about how this travel log came to be. We normally DO NOT make reservations. We loathe reservations. I guess we are just free spirits that do not want to be tied to anything. When we are out in our motorhome we may stay one night in a place or a month. We tend to stay until we have done what we want to do. When we were on our way to Sheridan we started looking for an RV-Park. We generally like to stay in NO FRILLS RV-Parks since we do absolutely nothing in the campgrounds. We do a lot of dry camping, but NOT when we need air conditioning and this was August and we needed air conditioning. When we started looking at the options in Sheridan Peter D's stood out. Then we looked at some of the remarks and comments that are online. One individual really blasted Peter D's. His really nasty comments really stood out and made us think twice about staying at Peter D's. However, even with the remarks Peter D's fit our needs-location so we pulled in.

When we pulled into Peter D's he was no where to be seen but Mrs Peter D's was in her garden and came running. She was charming, professional, a good conversationalist, in short everything we could ask for. After checking us in she asked if we wanted any veggies from her garden. Joyce got a sack full of squash and cucumbers. I think she got three kinds of squash.

This certainly was NOT what the poster that bad mouthed this place had prepared us for. In fact it was the opposite. However, we had not met the "bad" guy Peter D, just his wife but she wasn't anything like the old troll we were prepared for.

So it occurred to me that the really negative poster must have had a problem that the rest of us were not experiencing. Thus I decided to counter that "negative" poster's comments with some positive input.

We do not use campground rest rooms but if they are anything like this spotless laundry they have to be top notch.

As you can see the place is immaculate. That is the laundry and rest rooms in the building to the right. The office is the building with the green roof.

OK, that is all. You make up your mind. We stayed there and are glad that we did. None of the things that negative poster said were true of our visit.

As a disclaimer, we did not get a discount. We never met Peter D, except to see him watering fruit trees with his wife as we exited the park one time.
