MoochMooch is the "resident" great egret at the Key West Wildlife Rescue Center
Mooch was a patient at the Key West Wildlife Rescue Center a few years ago. When he was rehabilitated he was released. Mooch is now a free bird but has decided to remain free but hang around and "mooch" the free food. Mooch is the poster child for the American Welfare System. Help them once and they expect you to feed them for life. In case some of you do not understand why this great egret was named "Mooch", the Urban Dictionary defines Mooch as follows: A scab or freeloader who comes to your house uninvited and overstays his welcome and proceeds to eat all your food, stink up your bathroom, take all your drugs and just generally leech all the blood from your body during their stay.
