Anna Maria Island, FloridaThis travellog covers a day trip we took to Anna Maria Island where we strolled on the City Pier that stretches into Tampa Bay and you have a good view of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge which we covered in the previous travel adventure. We are staying at Lake Manatee State Park about 12-miles east of Bradenton on SR-64. Lake Manatee SP has paved interior roads with packed sand sites with electricity & water & central dump site. January 20 and 21 2009. Anna Maria Island is located east of Bradenton, Florida at the mouth of Tampa Bay. City Pier Restaurant on Anna Maria Island, Florida
This is the "City Pier Restaurant" on Anna Maria Island. The Bridge is located directly behind the building ----- you just can not see it. Enjoy some delicious seafood at lunch or dinner at the City Pier Restaurant after taking the walk out on the pier. View of the north end of Anna Maria Island, Florida
This is the north end of Anna Maria Island and that opening in the water is actually the entrance to the Gulf of Mexico from Tampa Bay.

On this evening several people have set up lawn chairs and other things on the beach so she just has to work around those things that she would rather not feature in her sunset shots.

As the sun was setting a jet crossed the sky leaving a beautiful con trail. One way to cut out the lawn chairs is to frame the sun with a sea oat cluster.
