I-10 Campgrounds across the Florida Panhandle
Many times I get the question about traveling I-10 across the Florida Panhandle. Generally, the question goes something like this: What campgrounds/overnighting opportunities would you suggest that are near I-10 from the Florida/Alabama line to I-75? There is a KOA Campground at exit 26 located just east of Pensacola at the 2nd exit east of the I-10 bridge over Escambia Bay. This KOA is located on the NE corner of County Road 191 and I-10 the Bagdad/Milton exit.
At the Crestview exit, State 85, there is a Cracker Barrel & Super WalMart less than 1/2 mile SOUTH of I-10. Near Chipley, FL is Falling Waters SP:
In Marianna, FL you have the Florida Caverns State Park. http://www.floridastateparks.org/floridacaverns/default.asp There is a Flying J & a TA at exit 192 which is the intersection of US-90 15-miles west of Tallahassee. 15-miles east of Tallahassee at the intersection of US-19 (Monticello, FL exit) is "A Camper's World Campground" 32 pullthru sites 850-997-3300. Never stayed there just know it exists. Alabama Rest areas have dump stations unless they have removed them. That may come in handy.
