Rock Creek Road Scenic Drive part-1 Buffalo, Wyoming

Alfalfa field under irrigation along Rock Creek Road out of Buffalo, Wyoming

Rock Creek Road is not advertised as a "wildlife loop" or "scenic drive" but we enjoyed it as much as any wildlife loops or scenic drives that have been heavily advertised. As you thumb through this travel log you will see why.

We certainly were not prepared to watch as a fairly large gathering of wild turkey proceeded to take a dust bath in Rock Creek Road while we took pictures. We watched them, took pictures out the window of the Saturn and generally enjoyed ourselves while watching this group of wild turkey do its thing while for the most part ignoring us.

I do not think we have ever seen this many wild deer at one time in my life. How can an alfalfa farmer make any money while feeding this many moochers?
