Joyce took this picture one afternoon when we were on a sunset cruise aboard the Party Cat. The long dock in this picture is Sunset Pier. The large building in this picture is Ocean Key Resort located at the foot of Duval Street in Old Town Key West. Sunset Pier is part of the Ocean Key Resort property.

Robert and Fritz have been performing for 18-years at Sunset Pier. I knew they had been here a long time since we look for them each year when we arrive in the Keys but I had no idea they had been doing this gig for 18-years.

Robert is our age so we all grew up listening to the same music. Joyce and I just love the music Robert sings.

Whitney Houston died two days ago and we were discussing how tragic that was. Whitney was such a talent but she played with drugs and alcohol and the drugs and alcohol won.

Robert has seen a lot of change in Key West in his time.

When Robert was a teen he had a band that would play for the clubs on the Navy Base.

It was during this conversation that Robert told me about performing with Fritz Sigler his buddy the guitar maestro that accompanies him. They have been playing together for over 20-years.
