Captain Anderson's Marina on Thomas Drive Panama City Beach, Florida
In 1955 when the city of Panama City took away their dock and property to make room for a new marina. Captain Max Anderson and his brother, Captain Walter Anderson, had to move their fishing fleet to a new location. The family homestead in downtown Panama City was where their father, C.S. (Capt. Charley_ Anderson had raised them and built the family fishing fleet.
These two sons could see changes being made in the industry and this foresight led them to Grand Lagoon. After two years of fighting heat and the elements, they had dredged a channel through the shallow lagoon and built the first section of what is now Capt. Anderson's Marina.
The vision of Capt. Max Anderson and Capt. Walter Anderson has become a family vacation Mecca.
The following is but a bit of what you will see and enjoy when you visit Capt. Anderson's Marina on Thomas Drive Panama City Beach.
