Captain Anderson's Marina on Thomas Drive Panama City Beach, FloridaIn 1955 when the city of Panama City took away their dock and property to make room for a new marina. Captain Max Anderson and his brother, Captain Walter Anderson, had to move their fishing fleet to a new location. The family homestead in downtown Panama City was where their father, C.S. (Capt. Charley_ Anderson had raised them and built the family fishing fleet. These two sons could see changes being made in the industry and this foresight led them to Grand Lagoon. After two years of fighting heat and the elements, they had dredged a channel through the shallow lagoon and built the first section of what is now Capt. Anderson's Marina. The vision of Capt. Max Anderson and Capt. Walter Anderson has become a family vacation Mecca. The following is but a bit of what you will see and enjoy when you visit Capt. Anderson's Marina on Thomas Drive Panama City Beach.
The Florida Queen one of the fishing boats operating out of Capt. Anderson's Marina
The Florida Queen is one of the "Head Boats" taking folks fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. They are called "Head Boats" because passengers are charged a "per-person" fee to get on the boat for a day of fishing. Charter Boats are boats where someone charters the entire boat for the day. Hopefully, you now understand the difference between Charter Boats and Head Boats. Join Capt. Bobo Hobbs on the Florida Queen and see the kind of fish 35 years of experience will catch you. Capt. Bobo runs 12 hr open trips daily, private charters for your group trips, open overnights and private charters as well as our 25 hr trip that also allows a 2-day limit!
