BamaJam Campground

Bama Jam near Enterprise, Alabama

We are headed out for the summer. Our first stop was a one night visit to Panama City Beach and Tootsies. From there we headed to Enterprise/Ozark, Alabama for three intense days enjoying Bama Jam a country music Woodstock.

While we are staying at Mr. D's RV-Park in Ozark, Alabama (16-miles from Bama Jam) several thousand campers were staying at the temporary camping facility provided at Bama Jam.

Bama Jam is a three day country music event much like Woodstock only much better organized.

Upon arriving on Thursday afternoon the first thing we noticed was an ocean of tents and RV's. This is all dry camping, but when you stay in this camping area there is no need to drive anywhere. Free transportation is provided from the camping area to the performance venues. Just so you will know, the only ones allowed in the camping area are paid campers.

Joyce started snapping pictures as we drove down the highway. Tents were on one side of the highway with motorhomes and other RV's on the other side.

Acres and acres of tents can be seen from the highway.

As we make our way down the highway to our parking area the tenting area just gets larger and larger.

Keep in mind that Joyce is snapping most of these pictures but it has gotten so overwhelming that we pulled over so I could snap this one. I am blown away. I want to know how many tents there are. These folks are planning on a big three day party.

While the tenting area was on the south side of the highway on the north side was the RV area. Folks those RV's stretch way back from the highway. Look closely and you will see a tree line in the distance. They go all the way to that tree line.
