Darryl Worley, Chuck Wicks, Lee Ann Womack & Jamey Johnson at The Stage on Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee

Darryl Worley & friends put on a special show at the Stage on Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee to benefit Cystic Fibrosis. We attended that event. It was a show and auction to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. The place was packed. Behind the bar featured bull riders on the PBR circuit including Tuff Heidiman plus Wolf from the hit TV series American Gladiator. Darryl's special guest included Jamey Johnson, Lee Ann Womack and Chuck Wicks.

Talk about good seats we had good seats for this extravaganza. Actually, there were no seats it was totally stand up and the building was packed to capacity (or over). There wasn't room for a chair.

We were standing just a few feet from the stage. This is Darryl Worley's wife Kimberly, who stood beside us (and in front of us sometimes). She seemed to be as gaga over Darryl & Chuck Wicks as ordinary fans. Maybe more so. In any event with her there with us we were in the thick of the action since her husband was the main attraction and MC for the event.

Darryl may have been the "big dog" for this event but Chuck Wicks (Dancing with the Stars) and a big country star was the one that stole the ladies hearts. Heart throb might be an understatement.

"Stealing Cinderella" was his big hit. Well being Julianne Hough's boyfriend may be another of his "hits". He danced with Julianne Hough on this years Dancing With the Stars competition, I think. I don't watch the show but I have heard talk.

Lee Ann Womack is a super star in her own right. As you can see we could almost touch her.

Lee Ann is best known for her hit songs "I hope you dance", I'll think of a reason later" and her current hit "Last Call". She also sang with Willie Nelson on his hit song " Mendocino County Line".

Lee Ann sang it with him (she is on the other microphone) and it was a smash, they knocked it out of the park.

Darryl Worley was the host and MC for the event. His wife was standing with us during the event.

Darryl has been a Country Music star for a long time. You may remember his songs "Awful, Beautiful Life", "Have you Forgotten", and his current hit that continues to climb the charts "Sounds like life".

If looks could kill Darryl Worley & Tuff Heidiman would be DEAD. Wow! This was funny.

Remember we are at a celebrity auction benefiting Cystic Fibrosis. The musicians would sing a few songs then they would auction off some high dollar stuff. During one of the auction periods they got to talking about Lee Ann's 6" stiletto heals. Someone in the crowd shouted that he would give her $1,000 for those heals.

Wow! That started it.

Here is Tuff Heidiman (he was the world champion bull rider for many years). In his day he was "The Man". Tonight he is a celebrity bar tender and at this moment auctioning Lee Ann's fancy high heels.

It seems that Lee Ann had a show to do after this event and she was not parting with her shoes for any auction.

That didn't stop the boys or the bidding. The more she protested the higher the bid went.

Tuff and Darryl ran with it.

At around $2,500 dollars the boys were really having fun. Darryl is scanning the crowd to see who is going to be the next bidder.

And egging the bidders on ....... I might add.

Wolf ( you may recognize him from American Gladiators) was having fun with Lee Ann as well. Here he comes from behind the bar where he was a celebrity bar tender to get a picture of Lee Ann and the boys as the bid on her shoes was approaching several thousand dollars.

By the way this is one HUGE dude. If I didn't know that he went by the name "Wolf" the first thing I would try, when addressing him, would be Sir!

By this time Lee Ann is steaming. The boys are feeding on this look that is telling them that the shoes are not for auction no matter how high that bid goes.

"I have another show to do after this"!

Do you understand! DO YOU UNDERSTAND!

There was no stopping them. By this time she wasn't sure whether they were going to physically remove those shoes from her feet.

She may have been planning her escape before it came to that.

Funny isn't the word for this! Hilarious comes closer. I don't think she is going to be on stage with Darryl next year.

Just for the record. She kept her shoes on her feet and had them on when she left the building.

We seem to see Jamey Johnson everywhere, but I guess that is the way it is when you have an number one song on the charts. Not only does he have that number one song, You Should Have Seen It In Color, he wrote George Strait's hit song Just Give it Away. Talk about riding high --- Jamey is on top of his game. Right now he is performing his hit You Should Have Seen It In Color.
